This is one of my all time favorite “quick tips”! Hat tips to Howard Schlossberg from fmprosolutions.com who posted it in the FMDiSC user group after seeing a post from David of msnmedia.com who posted it in a FileMaker community forum thread.

We often need to copy and paste layout items from one layout to another.  The catch is that when we paste, it doesn’t paste into the exact same location on the other layout (without some pre-planning).  However, with this trick/tip it does…perfectly…every time!

All you have to do is copy the items from one layout, then switch to the layout you want to paste to.  Quickly go to browse mode, then go back to layout mode and simply paste.  Voila!  Your objects get perfectly pasted in the exact location you expect them to get pasted to!  You can even do this if you selected and copied multiple objects!
